    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the question. The issue you have described should only be happening in IE 8. I'm pretty sure it is fixed in IE 9 and IE 10 in the plugin version 1.8.2. The issue a compatibility issue between the diagram viewer and IE 8. We have plans to fix this. But in the mean time if you turn off the diagram viewer it will just embed a regular image in the wiki page and you'll be able to view the diagram in IE 8. Once this issue is fixed I'll let you know.

    Thanks

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for the response. I have double checked, and the issue seems to be replicated among all versions of IE. I have tried 7,8 and 9, and the results are the same in all versions (as per the screenshot attached to the original post. I have also attached screenshots from both IE9 and 8 showing that the error is the same in both.

I will try out the fix (to only display the diagrams as images, and get back to you.

    Regards,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the additional information. I'll get it tested again to see if we can reproduce the issue.

    Hi Michael,

We have done some further testing here with a fresh installation of Confluence 4.3.2 with Creately plugin 1.8.2 and have not been able to reproduce the issue you're having with IE 7 or IE 9. We know that IE 8 doesn't work right now.

Can you confirm if you are using any proxy settings in IE?

Do you see the "Diagram Loading time out" message for all diagrams or just a specific one or specific wiki page?

Also if you create a brand new diagram and try again in IE 7 or IE 9 to view it with the diagram viewer is the diagram visible?

    Thanks

    Nick

    Good day Nick,

I have checked and there are no proxy settings enabled in IE or any other browser for that matter. The message is displayed for all diagrams.

I have tried creating a new diagram, and the results have been the same (long loading time, and then a timeout). The interesting part is that even though the diagrams arent displayed in IE as part of page in Confluence, I am able to edit them with no problems in IE (see screenshot attached).

All your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the extra details. I am now wondering if this is not a specific IE issue. The reason being is that you don't seem to be seeing the popups we expect when it is the IE 8 style viewer issue.

Can you open the wiki page and view the attachment properties for the diagram PNG images. Can you confirm the MIME type that is set. If is anything but "image/png" take a note of what it is and then can you change it that and retry with IE?

Also if you still have problems with IE can you then download the PNG attachment to your local machine and start a new tab in IE and just try opening it by dragging the image to the IE tab - this will check if it is the image corruption or a network issue.

Let me know how you go, thanks

    Hi Nick,

Apologies for not responding sooner. I have had some other more urgent priorities the last 2 weeks, and as such have not had a chance to investigate the matters in more detail. I will get on to it as soon as I get a chance (hopefully in the next week or 2.

    Regards,

    Michael
