Why am I unable to export large workspaces?

1. Why the export fails? 

When attempting to export your workspaces as PNG or JPEG files, you may encounter limitations if your workspace or diagram size exceeds 8000*8000 pixels. In such cases, you will receive the following error message:

“Export Failed:
Canvas size is too large to export in a single image. Please select a small area below 8000px width/ height to export as an image or try exporting in PDF or SVG formats.
You can also use friends to size and organize your workspace better”

This limitation arises from the browser's capabilities, and it is recommended to utilize frames when exporting your diagram.

2. How to use Frames to export?

To export specific sections of your workspace in PNG or JPEG formats, you can make use of frames.

Additional Information: To check the size of your diagram, select the desired area and navigate to the "Size & Position" section within the shape properties.

Please note that exporting your diagram as an SVG or PDF file should still be possible, irrespective of the diagram's size. However, processing large diagrams will take longer.
