Adding accents over letters for MAC users
If you are a MAC user, you can simply hold a letter key on the keyboard to display the accent menu and select the relevant option from the displayed menu, either with your cursor or with the relevant number short cut as shown below:

If you want to use Capital letters, you can simply Press the Shift Key before holding the letter on your keyboard.

If you are a Windows user, using US International Keyboard codes, typing an accented letter requires two keystrokes; one to type the accent and the other to type the letter, as follows:

Depending on the make of your keyboard, you may need to use the CTRL key instead of ALT. Further, in order to use Capital letters, you can simply have your Caps Lock setting switched on while inputting these codes to get the relevant accented letters.
