How do I work with the data features on my Card Shape?
You can start editing the main context shown in your card by the selection within the card itself or through the Shape Data Panel available on the top right corner of your screen.
Editing the Main Card Content
By accessing the Shape Properties as similarly shown above for changing the title, you will see an array of options where you can include additional data fields to represent project information and requirements. Some of these include adding tags, notes, image attachments, assigning roles, setting due dates and more.
Editing the Card Content from Shape Data
The Shape Data Panel also features the Notes tab which offers you a rich text editor to document information as required. You can choose from a wide variety of formatting options, such as font styles, heading types, checkboxes, numbered and bulleted lists, quotes, and more to structure your content and make it more easy-to-read and interact with. A preview of the content you add thus will appear when you hover over the bubble menu on the bottom right corner of the card.

Amongst other available options, you can use the Contextual Toolbar or the Shape Properties to further customize your Card Shape.

How the Card shapes are interlinked with Smart Containers
Creately Cards are smart. They are designed to adapt according to the context they are placed in. Creately Smart Containers which are available in the Frames Panel and Cards are interlinked, meaning when you place a Card inside a container it will automatically adapt based on the container type. A sticky note placed inside a Kanban board frame will transform itself into a task card. Likewise, a task card will transform itself automatically into a timeline card once it’s placed on the timeline frame.
Card Shapes and Smart Containers
The Creately Card shape is powerful and versatile. It can not only hold a magnitude of information and data, but it can help you view your data from multiple perspectives for better understanding. We encourage you to work with these features to see how you can best use them for your project needs.
