Using a Creately Kanban board, you can visually organize and track the progress of any type of project or collaborative work.

Create Your Kanban Board
While Creately provides many features that simplify creating a Kanban board, it is important to understand the basics of a Kanban board before you create one. This article will help you understand how our App can help you to achieve these basic functionalities.
A basic Kanban board is divided into columns and each column represents a task stage in your Project. Based on the nature of your project, you or your team members can include additional columns by using the contextual toolbar above the board when selected.

Ideally, tasks on Kanban boards are listed by priority from top to bottom. Tasks can be created using a shape or by creating a card as shown below.

You can also style the layout and design of your cards by using the contextual toolbar above the card when selected, or even from the Shape properties on the top right corner of the App.

Assigning Roles
When working on a Kanban board in Creately, you can use real-time collaboration to interact and work together with your clients or team members productively. You can assign roles for your tasks to specific team members, set limitations as to who can view these tasks, set due dates and much more! For easy accessibility, the assignee can view and manage all assigned tasks from their My Task panel.

In order to remove a task, you can either unassign yourself from the task by removing your name from the Task Role or even deleting the Task from the Kanban board itself if not needed.

Creately’s Shape Data features provide an ample amount of options when working on your Kanban board. The best part is that you can include as much data as you want about your project or task in one simple shape and yet make it look so simplified.

Task Progress
In order to update the progress of your task, you may simply move your task manually by dragging the task card or shape into the relevant column. Alternatively, you may change the status of your task by going into the data section in the Shape Data panel.
