Creately’s tables can help you organize your data clearly and format cells for a more appealing presentation.
How to draw a table?
You can now create tables in Creately. Follow these steps to draw a table within your workspace:
- Go to Shapes
- Drag and drop the Table shape placed under the Recent or Common Shapes library

How to add a row or a column to an existing table
- Select the table
- Click the table icon with a plus mark in the Contextual toolbar to add columns or rows
- You can add a column to the right by clicking Add Column Right
- You can add a column to the left by clicking Add Column Left
- You can add a row above by clicking Add Row Above
- You can add a row below by clicking Add Row Below

If you wish to add a row or column next to a specific row or column within the table, double-click on a cell on that row or column and then add using the add option as shown below:

How to remove a row or a column from an existing table
- Select the table
- Click the table icon with a minus mark in the Contextual toolbar to delete columns or rows
- You can remove a column on the right by clicking Remove Column Right
- You can remove a column on the left by clicking Remove Column Left
- You can remove a row above by clicking Remove Row Above
- You can remove a row below by clicking Remove Row Below

If you wish to remove a specific row or column, select a cell within that row or column and remove using the remove option on the contextual bar.

How to add text in a Cell
Method 1
- Select the cell and click Text on the Contextual toolbar to type

- Double click on the specific cell and start typing

- You can change the text format using the options on the Contextual toolbar

How to colour the entire table
You can add colour to the entire table using the Contextual toolbar, Styles or Shape Information on the right-side panel.
Method 1: Adding colour using the Contextual toolbar
- Select the entire table
- Click the colour icon on the Contextual toolbar
- Select the colour you prefer
Method 2: Adding colour using Shape Information
- Select the entire table
- Go to Shape Properties
- Click Fill Color and drag the cursor to pick up the colour you prefer on the colour board
- Or type in the relevant colour code and press enter

You can add colour to a specific cell using the contextual toolbar, Styles or Shape Information on the right-side panel.

- Select a specific cell
- Click the colour icon on the Contextual toolbar
- Select the colour you prefer

- Select a specific cell
- Go to Shape Properties
- Click Fill Color and drag the picker on the colour board to the one your prefer
- Or type in the relevant colour code and press enter

To add colour to the outline of the table
- Select the table
- Go to Shape Properties
- Click Line colour
- Drag the cursor on the colour picker to select a colour
- Or type in the relevant colour code and enter

You can change the opacity of the colour by dragging the cursor on the opacity bar.
