This article is particularly useful if you are an Owner or an Admin of a Team Plan. In the Team Plan, you are provided with user roles and these consist of Owner, Admin, and Member roles.
However, only the Owner or an Admin can add or remove a user to or from the team plan. You can learn more about user roles and permissions in this support article: User roles and permissions inside Creately Team Plans
Suspend, Activate, Remove and Add members back
The steps below will show you how to suspend, reactivate, remove, or add a member back to your Team Plan. As mentioned earlier, only an Owner or an Admin is capable of making user changes to the plan.
Suspend an existing member
Here is how you could suspend an existing member from a Team Plan:
- Hover over the settings icon at the bottom left corner of the app
- Click on Account
- Switch to the Users tab
- Hover over the member you wish to remove from the plan and click on the Edit User icon
- Select Suspended from the Status dropdown
- Acknowledge the action
This will suspend the member from your Team Plan and revoke all permissions that the member originally had with the workspaces associated while on your Team Plan.
Suspending an existing member
Reactivating a suspended member
To reactivate a suspended member:
- Hover over the settings icon at the bottom left corner of the app
- Click on Account
- Go to the Users tab
- Hover over the member you wish to reactivate and click on the Edit User icon
- Select Active from the Status dropdown
- Acknowledge the action
Remove a member from the Team Plan
You can follow the steps below to conveniently remove a member from your Team Plan. However, you will be prompted to transfer the workspaces from the member you wish to remove to another whom you could select from the drop-down menu presented to you.
- Hover over the settings icon at the bottom left corner of the app
- Click on Account
- Go to the Users tab
- Hover over the member you wish to remove from the plan and click on Remove User from your Plan
- Select a user to transfer the documents and click on Remove
Note 1: The member should be suspended before removing

Add a member back to the Team Plan
You can now easily add a previous member back to your Team Plan the same way you would add a new member to the plan:
- Hover over the settings icon at the bottom left corner of the app
- Click on Account
- Go to the Users tab
- Enter the email address of the user you would like to invite under Invite People and click on Invite or copy and send the invitation link
