At Creately we never want to see you depart. We understand that situations will change and projects will come and go. The details below will help you whether you need to downgrade your account to stop payments or remove your account completely from the Creately system.
Downgrade account from Premium plan to Public/Free plan
If you currently have an active Creately Premium plan and you don't need it any longer or want to stop / suspend payments for a period you need to downgrade your account to the Public / Free plan. This allows you to move back to a premium plan when needed ie. when a new project comes along. Do remember that while on the Public / Free plan there are some limitations the main one being that new diagrams have to be publicly visible. The plans page offers a complete comparison.
If you're ready to downgrade just email us or open a ticket. Please let us know why you want to downgrade so we get a better understanding of how Creately is used and remember to include the email address you used to register with Creately so we can easily find your account.
N.B. When performing a downgrade we do not edit / alter or change any of your existing diagrams or projects. Those that are private will remain private.
Once downgraded we'll email confirmation when the downgrade is finished so you know. You can then continue to use Creately to view and edit your existing diagrams on the Public / Free plan. When you need to create new private diagrams again or use the other premium features you can upgrade again.
Remove / Delete account from Creately system
If you're already on the Public / Free plan you may decide to have your Creately account deleted. You do not need to do this when downgrading as the visibility of your diagrams remains unchanged during the downgrade. You should only delete your account when you're absolutely sure that you no longer require the diagrams in your account or access to Creately for your diagramming needs.
If you're ready to remove your account you should first login one last time and delete your current diagrams and projects - we ask you to do this to ensure that you don't require the diagrams and because our policy is never to delete user diagrams. Once the diagrams are delete please email us or open a ticket asking for the account to be deleted. We will verify if all the diagrams and projects have been deleted. If they have we'll remove your account and confirm back to you via email.
Once deleted you can come back in the future and join Creately again with the same email address.
