Control + Alt drag to duplicate shapes
Like in Photoshop, to improve the workflow. Copying and Pasting works but is not as nice.

folder tree - file management
Have a folder and file management user interface similar to either thinkfree or google docs. Allow for download, rename, select to edit, delete, move to other folder, create folder, etc.

allow for Database Model Diagram (Crow's Foot)

Allow individual portions of text to be formated differently
Curerntly when you write text then select a part of it and apply bold, the effect is applied to the whole text box, not just the portion you selcted. This means you can't bold selected peices of text in a text box. This should also apply to other text formattin like Text Color, Size, Font, etc

Group diagrams in a project
A diagram hardly ever comes alone. It would be nice if you could group diagrams together in a project, enabling drill down from one diagram to another in the same project

Adding ability to change canvas size after diagram created.
I don't see a way to change the size of your diagram after it has been created. This is helpful since you often don't know how big the diagram will be as you start adding new flows elements.

support a save as feature so I can make a copy of the current diagram.
Save as would allow me to make a copy and perhaps share that with a subset of people but continue working on another diagram on my own

Allow users to create a new diagram from another
Vital for wireframing. Instead of using copy/paste to recreate navigation, have it pre-populate.

Provide transparency background color on objects
When you create a rectange with a colored background fill and then position a text object on top of it, the background color of the text is white, not transparent.

Add aggregation and composition to UML class diagram arrowhead options
Just like the title says. Need the composition, filled in diamond, and aggregation, unfilled diamond, arroheads in UML diagrams.

Allow objects to be locked in place which would disable all functionality but unlocking
I often use a large rectangle as backgrounds for multiple diagrams on a page (such as sub-diagrams in software design). It would be nice if such a background rectangle could be "locked" so that connectors ignore it, clicking it by mistake doesn't move it and dragging object onto it does... more

have a Share function in which the diagram can be embedded
Embed code for blogs, websites, etc. for a diagram?
Status: completedWe've got this done.
Over on the Share Panel, simply publish for diagram (for a shareable web-link to a JPEG image of your diagram), then click EMBED Image - this will give you the HTML code to add to your blog, website or Wiki. Simply copy and paste.
We've taken the liberty of adding a couple of extra features that let you:
- Choose the size of the embedded image
- Choose to include a link back to the editable Creately diagram. But only authorised users will be able to edit it. -

Switch to panning mode while SPACEBAR is pressed
Designing process is a continuous switching between select and pan. So, it would be nice if this is provided based on key state. Say, switch to panning-mode when SPACEBAR key is pressed and switch back to selection-mode when SPACEBAR key is released.
